An ongoing, active composite of Ministries of the church which involve young people up to age 18.
Membership is not a requirement for participation. But Church membership is required of all officers. All events and activities are open to interested youth of our community. Educational Building: (386) 738-0040
We meet every Wednesday 5:00 - 6:30pm for Fellowship, instruction and Christian Nurturing. Each meeting is followed by refreshments and a recreational / social period. We are also open for homework assistance, with a computer lab, resource materials and peer tutoring available.
FACTS:

A monthly Newsletter "FridgeFacts" is published to include events and accomplishment of our youth.

In 2001 we received the "NAACP Community Outreach Award" and a Proclamation from the Florida House of Representatives for our research and Presentation of our Church's History.

Believing that "the Church of Tomorrow needs the involvement, training and neutering of those who are in service today", Our Youth Ministries have regularly scheduled opportunities to be involved in worship.

We have a 60-voice Youth choir, that masterfully sings a complete variety of Christian music in 3 and 4 part harmony.

We also have an active usher's ministry, and youth participate by leading our worship on the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Our civic responsibilities are met as the majority of our youth are charter members of the NAACP Youth Council, and hold office in school and community organizations.

We have had a youth from our Church serve as a page in the Florida House of Representatives for two consecutive years.

The Curriculum of our Youth Mission Programs direct us to a commitment to service in our church and community. Activities i.e., "Holiday Baking (for shut-ins)", Community Cleanup Days, Charity Fund Raisers. We work hard to have our ongoing activities coincide with school vacation.

Special outings and special activities are planned quarterly to provide opportunities to participate in clean, wellrounded enriching activities, and varied activities which expose us to many cultures and backgrounds.

Our advisors, instructional staff is made up of parents and volunteers of our community and church.

Our slate of events includes: Martin Luther King Activities, Black History Celebration, Easter, Youth and Graduates Recognition, Christian Camps and Summer Conferences, End-of-School and Back-to-School Activities, and regular attendance at Sunday School each week.

Other Branches of Youth Ministry include: Sunshine Band, Red Circle, Young Men, Audio-Video Ministry, "odd jobs" referral service, Praise Dancer, "Creative Kidz", Youth Ensemble and Children's Church.
