Greater Union First Baptist Church

We look forward to meeting you!

Faith in God gives more than it seems at first glance. Trusting the Lord, we find not only confidence in tomorrow what all so are eager for, but also the world, rest, feeling of safety and understanding.

Youth Ministry

The purpose of the Youth Ministry program is to prepare students for effective ministry to middle high, senior high, or college students and their families within the context of a local church or a parachurch organization.

Training young people to lead the cause of Christ, and apply Christianity to every area of life is what “youth ministry” is about. If we don’t know that, the kids won’t either.

Deacon's Ministry

Deacons at Greater Union First Baptist Church are the servant leaders of the Church under the direction and leadership of the Senior Pastor, Rev. Troy A. Bradley, Sr. Their purpose is to relieve the pastor(s) of the multitude of practical duties of caring for the flock.

Deaconess Ministry

Like the Deacon Ministry, the purpose and role of the Deaconess is to assist the Pastor, Ministers and Deacons in caring and providing for the common necessities and service needs of the parishioners; and the physical church; with special attention being given to the needs (and sensitivities) of women and youth.

Music Ministry

The purpose of the Music Ministry is to exhort, uplift, and encourage the body of Christ through song and worship. The Music Ministry encompasses the Praise Team, adult choir, and youth choir. Members of the Music Ministry must be faithful members of Greater Union First Baptist Church. They must strive to live according to God’s will and purpose and be on one accord in mind and heart according to the word of God.

Mission’s ministry

The purpose of the Mission Ministry is twofold:

First, reaching inward, nurturing our membership through mission study, education, fellowship, and prayer.

Second, reaching outward through personal witnessing, evangelizing, helping the needy and less fortunate, and seeking justice and liberty for all in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
